The name of the Competition: BELT AND ROAD PARTNER COUNTRIES AMATEUR GAMES BRWAG 2019 WENZHOU CHINA. AMATEUR SENIORS INDIVIDUALS & TEAM TENNIS TOURNAMENTS.

Venues and dates: The venue of the Tournament is the International Tennis Center of Wenzhou, China, 11 hard-coated courts, of which 4 courts open air, 4 courts indoor, 3 courts open air under a roof. Start of the Tournament: October 13, 2019, End of the Tournament: October 19, 2019. Venue address: China, Zhejiang Sheng, Wenzhou Shi, Longwan Qu, Yaoxi Shangshan Hwy, 瑶 溪镇 瑶 溪 风景区 网球 中心 邮政编码: 325038.

Registration and Accreditation: Registration for the Tournament is carried out in accordance with the BRWAG 2019 Games Regulations online on the official Games website icasworld.org/registration. To receive the Registration you must pay the Registration fee: $ 120. Registration Start: June 15, 2019. Registration Completion: September 15, 2019.

Accreditation: mandatory procedure according to the General Provisions of the Games. Accreditation is held from 12 to 13 October 2019. Place of Accreditation: Olympic Sports Center Wenzhou, China, address: 20 Minhang Rd, Lucheng Qu, Wenzhou Shi, Zhejiang Sheng, China, 325027, 浙江省 号 市 鹿城 区 民航 路 20 号 邮政编码: 325027. Accreditation Time: 9 : 00 – 17:00. For accreditation, every participant need to have with: an identity document (passport or other ID), a photo of 3×4 cm, the original medical insurance policy.

Admission to participation: Tennis players are allowed to compete, not participating in the current and previous Games of the year in professional competitions that have passed the procedure of registration and accreditation. Each participant of the Games can register for competitions only in his age category, corresponding to his age, determined at the time of December 31 of the current year. Each participant in a tennis competition can register in no more than 3 individual discharge ranks in his age category (not counting the ProAm category). Each player can take part in the Games Team Tournament according to the Regulations of the Games Team Tournament with no additional fees.

Management: The Tournament is managed by the Organizing Committee of the Games, the Chief Referee of the Tennis Tournament.

Format Of Individual All Seniors Competitions:

Competitions are held according to the rules of ITF tennis in the all seniors age categories:

20-24 years, 25-29 years, 30-34 years, 35-39 years, 40-44 years, 45-49 years, 50-54 years, 55-59 years, 60-64 years, 65-69 years, 70-74 years, 75+ years.

In the event of each age category that in one of the age groups the number of accredited participants turns out to be less than 5 people (pairs), the Organizing Committee of the Games has the right to combine this age group with the next younger age group.

In each age category, tournaments are held on the following ranks:

1) Man’s singles;

2) Women’s singles;

3) Men’s doubles;

4) Women’s doubles;

5) Mixed doubles;

Separate categories without age restrictions category is the ProAm (Professional + Amateur players):

1) Men’s doubles, one professional player is allowed to participate in the pair;

2) Mixed doubles, one professional player is allowed to participate in the pair.

In each age group and in each rank the minimum number of players (pairs) is set: 5, and the maximum number of players (pairs) is 16.

Payment of travel and accommodation: Each participant pays for travel to the competition site and accommodation in Wenzhou on their own.

Compliance with the Rules: The tournament is held in accordance with these General Provisions of the Games, these Regulations, Rules of Tennis, approved by the ITF, ITF Code of Conduct.

Stages:

The system of the tournament is set mixed: group stage, final stage, consolation stage.

Tournament participants in each age category in each rank are divided into groups on the basis of the ballot in accordance with the procedure specified below.

If 5 participants (pairs) → 1 group: 5

If 6 or 7 participants (pairs) → 2 groups: 3 + 3 or 3 + 4;

If 8 participants (pairs) → 2 groups 4 + 4;

If 9 or 10 participants (pairs) → 3 groups: 3 + 3 + 3 or 3 + 3 + 4;

If 11 participants (pairs) → 3 groups: 3 + 4 + 4;

If 12 participants (pairs) → 4 groups: 3 + 3 + 3 + 3;

If 13 or 14 participants (pairs) → 4 groups: 3 + 3 + 3 + 4 or 3 + 3 + 4 + 4;

If 15 participants (pairs) → 4 groups: 3 + 4 + 4 + 4;

If 16 participants (pairs) → 4 groups: 4 + 4 + 4 + 4;

The number of groups can be increased if, by a separate decision of the Organizing Committee of the Games, admission of more than provided for by these Regulations will be allowed, the number of players – 16 – in each category and in each age category (or in each combined age categories). After the group games are completed, the main draw will be created. In the main deaw in each age group in each rank, games are played according to the Olympic knockout system. For players who have not entered the main draw, a consolation knockout tournament is held in each rank. In each group, games are played in a round robin system. From each group to the final stage – the main draw – in each age group in each ranky there are 2 participants who took 1st and 2nd place in their group (except for the categories consisting of 1 group). If a category consists of one group, all games are played in a round robin. The winner and all places in such a group are determined by the most points scored.  The final stage – the main draw – is held on the Olympic system. In each age category, in each rank, stages start from 1/4, after the ½ stage, after 2 finals are played: the final for 1 and 2 places, the final for 3 and 4 places. The number of stages of the mail draw can be increased if the number of players in the category is set to more than 16 players (pairs).

Each match  consists of two full sets to 6 with  a tiebreak to 7, and the third set as a tiebreak to 10, if the score in sets is  1×1.

Awards: Winners and who gains in all age groups and ranks the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, as well as 1st place in the consolation tournament, will be awarded with medals of the Games BRWAG 2019.

Format Of Team Competitions:

Tennis players are amateurs who have not participated in the current and previous Games of the year in professional competitions who have passed the registration and accreditation procedure are allowed to participate in the team competition. Each player can play only for one team in all ranks of the Tournament. The extraterritorial principle of participation is allowed: a player may play for a country, a city in which he does not live, a club, a corporation in which he does not play or does not work all the time. Each team player can take part in the Individual Event according to the Seniors Individuals Tournament Regulations with no extra fee.

Teams in the Tournament: representing the participating countries of the Games, cities, clubs, corporations for which the teams play can take part in a team tournament. Competitions are held according to the rules of ITF, taking into account age categories.

Ranks: men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s  doubles,  mixed doubles.

Application submission, registration, accreditation. Applications are submitted by the team captains to the Organizing Committee of the Games at: brwag2019@icasworld.org, from the moment of opening registration to the Games until its termination. After approval of applications, each member of the team, including the team captain, must be individually registered on the Games website www.icasworld.org. Accreditation of the team and its players is held at the competition site according to the Game Regulations BRWAG2019.

The application states:

– Team name;

– Country (city, company or corporation) represented by the team;

– Data of the team captain and players: name, patronymic (if any), player’s last name, gender, player’s date of birth, email address;

Approved applications are published on the Games website in the Tennis section. After submission of applications, it is possible to make changes to the already approved lists through the procedure of reconsideration and approval. In exceptional cases (refusal of players due to illness, family and other serious circumstances), it is possible to make changes to the team’s application lists after the end of the registration period on the eve of the Tournament before the draw. After the draw, the lists of teams are not subject to change, retiring players can be replaced only by substitute players on the application list.

Line-up. Each team consists of 6 main players: 4 men and 2 women, and 5 substitute players. The team determines the number of men and their age, the number of women in the substitute players. In total, the team can be claimed 11 players: 6 main and 5 substitute, not counting the team captain. The captain can play as part of a team, also be a non-playing team member, with mandatory registration and accreditation.

Age categories in the team:

25-34 – years – man, 1 person;

35-44 – years – man, 1 person;

45-54 – years – man, 1 person;

55+ years old – male, 1 person;

women without age restrictions – 2 people.

The age of each participant in the Games is determined at the time of December 31 of the current Game of the Year.

Team match. Team match consists of 6 singles and 5 doubles sets, only 11 sets.

Men’s singles set 1: age group 25-34 years; one set;

Men’s singles set 2: age group 35-44 years; one set;

Men’s singles set 3: age group 45-54 years; one set;

Men’s singles set 4: age group 55+ years; one set;

Women’s singles set 5: age group – without age restrictions; one set;

Women’s singles set 6: age group – without age restrictions; one set;

Men’s doubles set 7: age group consisting of a pair of 25-34 + 35-44 years; one game;

Men’s doubles set 8: age group consisting of a pair 45-54 + 55+ years; one game;

Women’s doubles set 9: without age restrictions; one set;

Mixed set 10: age group 25-44 years old man + woman; one set;

Mixed set 11: age group 45+ years old man + woman; one set;

Each set in a team match consists of one full set to 6 and a tiebreak to 10, if the score is  6×6.

Accounting points. For winning a  team match, 1 point is awarded. For losing the match 0 points are awarded. The winner is determined by the most points. With an advantage in the score of the match, in which the result of a team match becomes obvious in favor of one of the teams, the Chief Referee has the right to cancel the remaining sets after consulting with the captains of the teams participating in this match.

The distribution of sets by courts is determined by the Chief Referee.

The number of teams. The maximum number of Tournament teams is set: 8 teams.

 Stages

The system of the Team Tournament is set up mixed: group stage, final stage, consolation stage. Teams are divided into groups on the basis of the  ballot in accordance with the procedure specified below.

If 3, 4, 5 participants (teams) → 1 group: 3.4 or 5;

If 6 or 7 participants (teams) → 2 groups: 3 + 3 or 3 + 4;

If 8 participants (teams) → 2 groups 4 + 4;

Scoring in the group stage is calculated as follows: for one victory in a team match, 1 point is awarded. If two or more teams in a group have the same number of points, the places in the group between them are distributed according to the greater number of sets won in all team matches in their group. If two or more teams in a group have the same number of sets won in all team matches in their group, the places in the group between them are distributed according to the best difference between all won and lost games. If two or more teams in a group have the same difference between won and lost games, the places in the group between them are distributed according to the result of a personal meeting between them. If all of the above criteria for such teams are equal, the places in the group between them are determined by drawing lots held by the Chief Referee.

The number of groups can be increased if, by a separate decision of the Organizing Committee of the Games, the admission of more teams than provided for in these Regulations is allowed. After the group games are completed, the main draw will be created. In the main draw, all team matches are held on the Olympic system for elimination. For teams that did not make it into the main draw, a consolation knockout tournament is held. In each group, games are played in a round robin system. From each group to the final stage – the main draw – 2 teams go out  taking 1st and 2nd place in their group. If the Tournament consists of one group, all matches are played in a round robin. The winner and all places in such a group are determined by the most points scored.  The final stage – the main draw – is held on the Olympic system. Stages are played starting from 1/2, then 2 finals are played: the final for 1 and 2 places, the final for 3 and 4 places. The number of stages can be increased if the number of teams is set to more than 8 teams. Teams that took 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, as well as 1st place in the consolation tournament, will be awarded with medals of the Games BRWAG 2019.

These Regulations are approved by the Organizing Committee of the Games BRWAG 2019. The Organizing Committee of the Games has the right to make changes and additions to these Regulations, which must be promptly notified to all participants of the Games on the official website of the Games icasworld.org.
